Well,  Acrylic on Glass,  10" Diameter, 2009

Well: A two-stemmed rose is painted in layered swirls of red, orange and crimson: two circular shapes, the one on the left slightly more u-shaped as if facing upward. The one on the right a circle as if facing the viewer directly. Two thick, light green stems branch off just below the bottom middle of the circular surface from a single stalk. There is one almond shaped leaf on the right stem, about a fifth of the size of the rose. The background is a deep, eggplant or midnight purple. The two blooms are midway up the painting, equidistant from each side and a few inches apart from one another. A more complete visual description to come!
